Scope and Limits of Construction Work

The Carroll University Lowry Hall Replacement, familiarly known as Hastad Hall, is home to a new 36,000 GSF building which now houses laboratories, classroom, and other spaces related to the instruction of Nursing and Physics. A green roof was designed for inclusion of an occupied plaza area. This building compliments the three story addition of science building on campus which was completed just prior to this project. Hastad Hall utilized systems to align with and match those of the science building. However, a steel structure was used instead of cast-in place concrete.

Bloom Companies provided civil and site engineering services for this project.  The new site improvements include site grading, pavements, retaining walls, landscaping and storm water management features.  The new site utilities were extended from adjacent street right-of-ways and nearby Campus-owned facilities. Bloom also provided construction services on this project, including submittal reviews, permitting and site construction visits.
