Bloom Scope of Our Work
Bloom was selected by the University of Minnesota to lead a comprehensive Master Plan update for the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD). The planning process began with a detailed analysis of existing conditions, challenges, and opportunities, followed by the development of strategic, illustrated recommendations.
Using an integrated approach that aligned strategic, academic, and physical planning, the Master Plan focused on key priorities: future building placement to support open space, improved circulation and access, parking strategies, space optimization, and sustainability.
Guiding principles emphasized defining campus gateways, reinforcing the academic core, strengthening ties to the regional landscape, and making sustainability a visible and integral part of campus identity.
