Bloom Scope of Our Work

The City of Minneapolis hired trusted design partner Bloom to program, space plan, and represent the City in the development of a new Fire Station #1 to serve downtown Minneapolis. The Station will fit into the lower levels of a full block, mixed use development designed by ESG. Our team met with fire department, facilities, and administrative staff at length to discuss full-time staff needs, individual department needs, adjacency, storage, drying, training, and vehicular access in the dense downtown city grid. Bloom developed a multi-story plan that was integrated into the proposed development nearby but still maintained fire station autonomy.
