Bloom Scope of Our Work

The J.A. Wedum Foundation Hall in Alexandria, Minnesota, is a significant new addition to the area, designed to support higher education, foster community engagement, and contribute to the region’s future development. This modern facility meets both educational and community needs, serving as a vital resource for the local community.

Named after the J.A. Wedum Foundation, which is known for its commitment to education and youth development, the hall strengthens Alexandria’s dedication to growth and opportunity. Located on the north side of campus, J.A. Wedum Foundation Hall offers both 1-bedroom studio and 2-bedroom apartments, providing safe and convenient housing for 150 students. Each unit is fully furnished, with bathrooms, full kitchens, Wi-Fi, and on-site laundry facilities.

Bloom collaborated closely with the technical college to design a space that balances privacy and collaboration, providing areas conducive to both individual study and group work. Our team was responsible for architecture, interior design, MEP/civil/structural engineering coordination, and construction administration site visits. The facility officially opened to students in the fall of 2024.
