Scope and Limits of Construction Work

This large project for Jewel included a freezer addition, cooler renovation and general site improvements. The 220,000 square foot freezer addition has a 40 foot clear height and uses an energy efficient ammonia refrigeration system. The 200,000 square foot cooler renovation included the conversion from freezer to cooler integrating 4 automatic storage and retrieval systems (ASRS).

The design team provided services on an as needed basis for Jewel’s Distribution Center for various capital improvement projects including; Office Renovations, Warehouse Improvements, Data Center design, and maintenance upgrades to streamline the already efficient center.

An additional project managed for this client included a 150,000 square feet addition of perishable dock integrating an automated palletizing conveyor in Brea, California.
