Scope and Limits of Construction Work

Fort McCoy Bridge projects (3, 38, 76, 82, 63, 70, 71) were the parts of the MACC – multiple award, competitive design-build indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) construction acquisition. The work will consist of multiple disciplines in the civil, transportation and structural design and general construction categories to include maintenance, repair, and alteration of real property located at Fort McCoy, Wisconsin. 

Bloom prepared final design plans, cost estimate, and special provisions for review and approval by Fort McCoy and US Army. Vista Design and Construction (Vista), a division of Bloom Companies provided all parts, labor, tools, equipment, materials, transportation, and supervision necessary to demolish the existing structure, install temporary shoring & cofferdams, and to construct the new bridge and dam structures in Fort McCoy, Wisconsin in accordance with the project specifications and drawings, and the contract and solicitation documents. Additional scope and features included environmental control and protection, staged construction with the truck and tank traffic, sites access, temporary shoring and two cofferdams supporting over 18’ deep lake water during the 80-year storm, dewatering the bridge and culvert sites.
