Scope and Limits of Construction Work

This project consisted of the total reconstruction of the existing CTH K interchange with IH 94, as part of proposed improvements to the IH 94 North-South Freeway Corridor between Milwaukee and the Wisconsin-Illinois state line.  Major features of this project are:  reconstruction of a segment of IH 94 mainline; removal and replacement of twin bridges carrying IH 94 over CTH K; reconstruction and widening a segment of CTH K to a four-lane divided roadway with turn lanes through the interchange; reconstruction of several interchange ramps; construction of new frontage roads; construction of new access roads to properties from the frontage roads; utility relocations and adjustments; and real estate acquisitions and relocations.
