Transportation Engineer – Project Manager

Position Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated, qualified and client service oriented Transportation Design Engineer specializing in roadway/highway design.  In addition to technical design responsibilities, this position is responsible for client relations, budget preparation and project and staff management.

• Manage transportation design projects
  
• Develop intersection geometrics and intersecion evaluations, including HCS and safety
  
• Perform drainage design, earthwork computations and utility coordination
  
• Construction staging and traffic control
  
• Attend project meetings
  
• Budget preparation and monitoring
  
• Prepare and lead technical presentations to clients and project stakeholders
• Mentor and develop design staff
• Interact and communicate effectively with design team members, clients and other agencies
  

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (M.S. Engineering preferred)
  
• Wisconsin P.E. license or ability to obtain licensing within six months
• 10-20 years experience in transportation design
• Familiarity with Wisconsin Department of Transportation policies and procedures for design and construction document preparation
• Experience with Geopak, InRoads and MicroStation desirable
• Project management experience
• Excellent Communication Skills
