Position Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated, qualified and client service oriented Transportation Design Engineer specializing in roadway/highway design.

• Manage transportation design projects.
• Perform drainage design, geometric design and earthwork computations.
• Utility coordination, construction staging and traffic control.
• Attendance at project meetings.
• Budget monitoring.
• Interact and communicate effectively with design team members, clients and other agencies.
• Prepare and lead technical presentations to clients and project stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop transportation design staff.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minnesota P.E. license or ability to obtain licensing within six months.
• Minimum of 7 years experience in transportation design.
• Familiarity with Minnesota Department of Transportation policies and procedures for design and construction document preparation.
• Experience with Geopak, InRoads and MicroStation desirable.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills.
