Position Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated, qualified and client service oriented Transportation Design Engineer specializing in roadway/highway design. In addition to technical design responsibilities, as Technical Services Leader, this position is responsible for new business development, client relations, proposal preparation, budget preparation and project and staff management.

• Lead and direct transportation practice
• Build and maintain solid client relationships
• Acquire transportation design projects through innovative new business development
• Lead design efforts
• Mentor and develop design staff
• Interact and communicate effectively with design team members, clients and other agencies

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minnesota P.E. license or ability to obtain licensing within six months.
• Minimum of 12 years experience in transportation design.
• Familiarity with Minnesota Department of Transportation policies and procedures for design and construction document preparation.
• Experience with Geopak, InRoads and MicroStation desirable.
• Project management experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
