Senior Engineer-Construction Management – Madison, WI

Position Description

  • Administer construction contracts
  • Construction scheduling, project budgeting, and field supervision
  • Translate and implement project plans and special provisions
  • Evaluate and record construction operations
  • Sample, test, and provide acceptance for materials used on projects according to standard and special criteria
  • Complete required project documentation including progress payments and contract changes to achieve final project acceptance
  • Ensure quality control activities are performed for all assigned work and back check work of others
  • Interact and communicate effectively with design team members, clients and other agencies

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with Construction emphasis
  • 5-7 Years Minimum Experience
  • Experience in any of a number of design and analysis software programs used in the industry
  • Familiarity with Wisconsin Department of Transportation policies and procedures for design and construction document preparation
  • Wisconsin PE license or ability to obtain licensing within reasonable amount of time
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Senior Engineer/Project Manager (Transportation) – Milwaukee, WI

Position Description:

  • Manage transportation design projects.
  • Perform drainage design, geometric design and earthwork computations.
  • Utility coordination, construction staging and traffic control.
  • Attendance at project meetings.
  • Budget monitoring.
  • Interact and communicate effectively with design team members, clients and other agencies.
  • Prepare and lead technical presentations to clients and project stakeholders.
  • Mentor and develop transportation design staff.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Wisconsin P.E. license or ability to obtain licensing within six months.
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in transportation design.
  • Familiarity with Wisconsin Department of Transportation policies and procedures for design and construction document preparation.
  • Experience with Geopak, InRoads and MicroStation desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Structural Engineer / Manager (Bridge) – Chicago, IL

Position Description

  • Organize and manage structural design efforts for multiple simultaneous projects
  • Ensure quality control activities are performed for all assigned work and back check work of others
  • Interact and communicate effectively with design team members, clients and other agencies
  • Design structural systems of cast-in-place concrete, precast concrete, and structural steel
  • Design of culverts, bridges, and retaining walls.
  • Perform and/or coordinate the review of shop drawing submittals and posts modifications as needed

Position Requirements

  • Illinois S.E. License required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Experience in supervision of structural project staff
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products; and working knowledge of Microstation programs
  • Working knowledge of various structural analysis and design programs
  • Good decision making skills, flexibility, focus on quality and attention to detail

Construction Engineer – Chicago, IL

Position Description

  • Construction schedule monitoring
  • Project budget monitoring
  • Field supervision of trained technicians
  • Translate and implement project plans and special provisions
  • Evaluate and document construction operations

  • IDOT Certification of Documentation of Contract Quantities (Required)
  • IDOT certification for material field testing PCC and/or HMA (Desired)
  • Familiarity with Illinois Department of Transportation, Illinois Tollway and City of Chicago construction engineering practices, standards and documentation
  • Good decision making skills, flexibility, focus on quality and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word and Power Point) and CADD (MicroStation preferred)

Highway Engineer (Transportation) – Chicago, IL

Position Description:

Our Chicago office has an immediate opportunity for a licensed professional engineer with 5+ years of experience. Ideal candidate will have experience in the design of highways and local streets and must be familiar with IDOT/Tollway/CDOT standards. Working knowledge of Microstation is required. This position requires a BS in Civil Engineering and an Illinois P.E. license (or ability to obtain license within 1 year)

  • Develop intersection geometrics and intersection evaluations, including HCS and safety.
  • Perform drainage design, earthwork computations and utility coordination.
  • Construction staging and traffic control.
  • Report writing and plan sheet development.
  • Budget monitoring.
  • Interact and communicate effectively with design team members, clients and other agencies.
  • Serve as project manager on transportation design projects.
  • Mentor and develop transportation design staff.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Illinois PE license preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in highway engineering design
  • Familiarity with Illinois Department of Transportation, Illinois Tollway and City of Chicago engineering practices, standards and documentation
  • Good decision making skills, flexibility, focus on quality and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently on project design tasks.
  • Experience with Microstation and Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word and Power Point)
